Francis "Frank" Ranc, age 69 of New Hampton, IA passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton. Funeral services for Francis will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton, Iowa with Father Mark Osterhaus officiating. Burial will be held at New Hampton Cemetery in New Hampton, IA. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton, IA. Online condolences for Francis' family may be left at www.conway-markhamfh.com. Memorials may be directed to the family. Francis was born May 13, 1946 in Cresco, Iowa. The son of Frank and Florance (Kilby) Ranc. Francis went to Cresco area schools. He was united in marriage on March 6, 1991 to Kathie Ann McCleary. Before becoming disabled from a bad car wreak, he worked on the family farm, drove truck, and worked for numerous other ventures. Francis enjoyed collecting antiques, camping, fishing, he loved to travel and meet new people. But most of all he enjoyed time spent with family and friends, especially time spent with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Kathie of New Hampton; three children from his previous marriage to Doris Ranc; his children are Bill (Roxanne) Ranc of New Hampton, IA, Frank (Christine) Ranc of Pine Island, MN, Mindy Larson of Cresco, IA; seven grandchildren, Raven, Carter, Andy, Ryan, Hannah, Morgan, Kyle; one great-grandchild Marriah; three siblings, Lucille (John) Krum of Mason City, IA, Dale (Karen) Linderman of Mason City, IA, Ron (Diane) Linderman of Charles City, IA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Francis was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, LeRoy, Robert and Darrold; three sisters, Pauline, Alice and Dorothy; his paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.

  3. Francis will be missed by all, I took care of him on a few occasions and I can sincerely say he was the kindest, most wonderful man. His smile could light up a room and he would give the most wonderful heartfelt hugs. My thoughts go out to Kathy and his family, he truly was a sweetheart of a man God Bless Rachel Federspiel

  6. Miss you dad. Love you with all my heart. Thank you for all the fun times. Thank you for teaching me about gardening. I had so much fun. You taught me how to ride a bike. I remember I was so scared and before I know it you let go and I was riding my bike. You would get so mad at me for not putting my bike back in the shed. Miss you so much 😢.
