Francis Bouska, age 69, of Waucoma, IA, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at the Palmer Lutheran Health Center in West Union. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waucoma. A dinner celebrating Francis' life will be held Saturday, following the service, at the Waucoma Legion Hall. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Waucoma at a later date . Friends may greet the family 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waucoma where there will be a 2:30 p.m. Rosary and a 7:00 p.m. Scripture Service. Visitation continues beginning at 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home in Waucoma is entrusted with arrangements. We thank you for supporting these causes in his memory. Francis Edward Bouska was born December 14, 1944, in New Hampton, IA, the son of Edward and Emma (Myers) Bouska. He attended St. Mary’s Grade School and High School in Waucoma and graduated from St. Luke’s High School in St. Lucas. Francis was raised on the family farm and lived there until 2010. On April 17, 1971, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Hampton, he married Patricia Weiglein. To this union six children were born. Francis devoted his entire life to the two things he loved most, family and farming. The farm became a Century Farm in 1999. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a person who was always happy. He was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waucoma. Survivors include his wife, Pat; four sons, Kevin (Christy) Bouska of Decorah, Duane (Sarah) Bouska of Mason City, Martin Bouska of Brooklyn Park, MN and Scott (Kendra) Bouska of Waucoma; two daughters, Marcia (David) Streif of Maynard, IA and Sarah (Jeff) Peters of Robins, IA; sixteen grandchildren, Erica & Ally Bouska, Maria, Elizabeth, Emma, Christopher and Dawn Streif, Nevaeh, Korbin & Micah Bouska, Grayson Bouska, Olivia & Lexie Peters, Grace, Lukas and Mason Bouska; two sisters, Lois (Gerald) Baumler of Waucoma and Lorna Berk of Charles City; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Aja Bouska; grandson, Jacob Streif; brother-in-law, Don Berk.

  9. We have been remembering the trip we shared with the Bouska’s to Hawaii in 2011. Pat and Francis were so much fun and ready for anything. So glad we got to share those happy times with them. Our hearts go out to the entire Bouska Family. Francis was such a gentle man who will be greatly missed by many!

  11. Losing Francis (our dear ‘Biscuit ‘ classmate from grade school and two years of Waucoma High before he went to St. Lukes) is indeed sad. I regret being unable to attend his services.
