Elaine K. Johnson age 62, of Nashua, IA, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, November 8, 2013. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at the Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel, in Nashua with Pastor Paul Pickar presiding. Organist for the service will be Gerald Bailey. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with Alan Johnson, Heather Johnson, Richard Johnson, Triston Glaser, Ashley Anderson and Jason Holthaus as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dawson Glaser, Coy Johnson, Sabre Anderson, Kameran Josephson, Corbin Johnson and Wyatt Johnson. Friends may greet the family 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Elaine was born June 27, 1951, to Louie and Doris (Springer) Hugh in Hampton, Iowa. The family lived in the country near New Hartford her first few years, then moved north of Nashua where she attended and graduated from school. On October 17, 1970, Elaine was united in marriage to Sidney Johnson. They made their home west of Nashua where they raised their family. When the children were in school, Elaine began working outside of the home. She was employed for many years at Comprehensive Systems, then later at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital from where she retired in 2011. Elaine enjoyed many things in life including reading, crocheting and recipes, but most of all she enjoyed living in the country and spending time with her family. Elaine is survived by her husband, Sidney of Nashua; children, Paul (Jennifer) Johnson of Charles City; Ellen Glaser (fianc, Darrell Anderson) of Ionia; Adam (Valerie) Johnson of Nashua; and Katie Johnson of New Hampton; grandchildren, Alan, Heather and Richard Johnson; Triston and Dawson Glaser, Ashley and Sabre Anderson; Corbin and Coy Johnson; Kameran Josephson; great grandson, Wyatt Johnson; father, Louie (Linda) Hugh of Ionia; brother, Dan (Barbara) Hugh of Charles City; sister, Lorraine (Alan) Anderson of Alden, MN; brother-in law, Charles (Marion) Johnson; sister-in-law, Jackie Barnett; nephews and nieces, Robert Hugh; Jamie (Catrena) Anderson; Mike (Stacey) Johnson; Brad Johnson; Angie Rice; Jennifer (Wes) Thompson; Shannon (Scott) Webber; and Mitch (Tami) Barnett.
