Donna Bunston
February 2, 1946 ~ March 4, 2010
Donna M. (Bonzer) Bunston, 64, of Ionia formerly of Nashua died Thursday, March 4, 2010 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accidentat the intersection of County Rd. T26 and Hwy 9 west of Osage.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua with Rev. James Mann officiating.
Interment will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens rural Charles City with Cody Austin, Michael Rabbit, Cole Rabbit, Stephen Lines, Steve Minikus, Jared Minikus and Casey Bunston serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. to service time on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Bunston Family.
Donna Mae was born February 2, 1946, in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Valeda (Winkelman) Lines. She attended rural grade school and graduated from Nashua High School in 1964. In March of 1965, she was united in marriage to Donald Bonzer. To this union two children were born. The couple later divorced. For most of her life Donna lived in Nashua. She received her college education at NIACC, studying in the medical field. She retired from Floyd County Memorial Hospital as a ward clerk in 2007 after 19 years of faithful service. On June 20, 2009, Donna was united in marriage to Larry Bunston. This was the highlight of her retirement as well as the building of their new home in rural Ionia. Donna was a collector of dolphins, enjoyed bird watching, loved being with family, friends and being out in nature.
Donna is survived by her husband, Larry of Ionia; her parents, Kenneth and Valeda Lines of Nashua; one son, David (Denise) Bonzer of Wellsburg; one daughter, Dianna (Steve) Minikus of Denver, IA; one step-son, Casey (Shelly) Bunston of Cresco; three step-daughters, Chelsea and Lacey Bunston both of Charles City and Abbey Bunston of Bassett; one sister, Gloria (Richard) Elwood-Wyborny of Charles City; one brother, Paul (Christi) Lines of Nashua; her father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Vera (Caster) Bunston of Ionia; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
We were so sorry to hear about Donna. She was a very nice person, a great smile and fun! She will be missed, our prayers are with all the family. Donna will always be with you in all your memories. Classmate Sandy Hicok Miller

We will miss Donna so very much–she was a special person. The entire Weight Watchers group in Nashua is feeling the loss of such a wonderful member and friend.
