Donna Cavanaugh age 56 of Storm Lake, IA, formerly of Nashua, IA, died Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at UnityPoint Hospice - Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, IA. A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory - Olson Chapel in Nashua. Inurnment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Nashua. Friends may greet the family from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2020, at Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory - Olson Chapel in Nashua. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Donna Mae Cavanaugh was born June 6, 1964, in Charles City, Iowa to Marvolyn (Chandler) and Donald Bast. She was the youngest child and only daughter of the family. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1982. Upon graduation, she went on to receive her business degree. She was employed by Buck CPA. Donna was united in marriage to Tom Cavanaugh in 1991 and they made their home in Storm Lake. Donna enjoyed reading, crafting, gambling, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Tom Cavanaugh of Storm Lake, IA; mother, Marvolyn Chandler-Bast of Nashua, IA; brothers, Daniel (Peggy) Bast of LaPorte City, IA, David (Vicky) Bast of Nashua, IA; sister-in-law, Darcy Bast of Floyd, IA; sister-in-law, Corine (Dan) of Franklin, TN; brother-in-law, Jim (Lorri) Cavanaugh of Plano, TX; nieces and nephews, Shane (Jennifer) Bast, Ashley Bast, Brian Bast, Amanda (Adam) Hanson, Denise Bast, and Dallas Bast and many great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Bast, and brother, Dennis Bast.
