Donald P. Scribner Jr. age 58 of Greene, IA, died Thursday, December 4, 2014, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City. 

 Funeral Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2014, at Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel in Nashua, with Rev. Dennis Bachman presiding. Friends may greet the family 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. 
 Honorary Pallbearers are Larry Cox, Larry Scribner, Leonard Scribner, Jim Scribner, Jacob Scribner, Chris Lubben, James Monty, Cody Scribner and Dustin Dunford. Donald Paul Scribner Jr. was born on March 21, 1956, in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Donald and Marg (Knight) Scribner. He was a graduate of Nashua High School in 1974. Upon graduation, Donnie owned and operated Scribner Sanitation Service for several years. Donnie then worked for Terex Cranes in Waverly. Currently, he was employed by the GMT Corporation in Waverly. Donnie enjoyed splitting wood and getting ready for the winter months. A favorite pastime of Donnie’s included riding his Gold-Wing motorcycle. On his farm, he took care of his chickens, Penny, his horse and Bella his dog. Donnie was kind, considerate and always willing to help anyone who was in need. Donnie cherished time spent with his family. Donnie is survived by one daughter, Amber Stirm; two sons, Dustin Dunford and Cody Scribner all of Waterloo, IA; special friend, Darla Kammrad, of Thorton, IA; four brothers, Larry (Angie) Scribner of Janesville, IA, Leonard (Sandy) Scribner of Nashua, IA, Jim (Mindy) Scribner of Nashua, IA, Dennis (Lisa) Wiggins of Des Moines, IA; three sisters, Kristi (Chris) Lubben of Shell Rock, IA, Sandy (Galen) Franzen of Nashua, IA and Kelly (Dean) Buls of Tripoli, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Scribner and Marg (Knight) Scribner; stepmother, Karen Scribner; and a sister in infancy.

  4. Our families were close friends back in the day…I remember a vacation we took together out to Lake Okoboji and The Grotto in West Bend…and I remember when Donnie and I went out in our younger yrs and we would cruise the streets of Fredericksburg!! He will always be in my heart!
