After completing his education, Don began working at Liddle's Super Value. In 1973, Don was united in marriage to Cheryl Eskilson. On July 5, 2004, the family's life was forever changed when Don suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm causing a hemorrhagic stroke. After this tragedy, the Johnson household was never the same. As a family, they adjusted to their new lives and cherished every moment. Don continued to enjoy time with his family and ensured there was never a dull moment.
