David Lienemann, Sr.

David Lienemann, Sr., age 62 of Nashua, Iowa passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at his home.
A celebration of David’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Ruthies Main Street Caf, Nashua with Pastor Tom Hagen officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior at the caf. A private burial will be held at a later date.
David George Lienemann, Sr. was born November 15, 1947 at Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City, the son of George and Marian (McKinney) Lienemann. He was raised in Nashua, and attended Nashua High School graduating in 1966.
In 1994, David met Karen Teckenburg. The two have been together ever since, and on February 27, 2010, they were united in marriage at Waverly, Iowa.
After he graduated from high school, David began working for the company that is now owned and operated as Terex Cranes in Waverly. He worked there for 43 years until his recent sickness forced him to take a leave of absence. David was a member at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether his time was spent gardening, fishing, in his shop woodworking, or on his John Deere tractor. Most evenings he could be found in front of the television, watching and playing 'Wheel of Fortune' with his grandson. He loved spending time with his nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; a son, David Lienemann Jr. of Des Moines, IA; a daughter, Amanda Lienemann of Marshalltown, IA; one step-daughter, Shawn (Chet) Teckenburg of Waterloo, IA; a brother, Gary (Ruth) Lienemann of Nashua, IA; a sister, Janice (Guy) Millermon of Cedar Falls, IA; a grand daughter, Sahara Fortner; two step-grandchildren, Kit and Kade Williams-Teckenburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a step-daughter, Shelby. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Dear Family, I am sorry to hear of David’s death. I always enjoyed seeing him when I was at the Rohlf Clinic in Waverly. He was always very direct and honest. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
