David D. Knutson age 50 of New Hampton died Wednesday morning, August 1, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2012, at Immanuel Lutheran Church - Crane Creek, rural Lawler with Pastor Vincent Fricke presiding. Interment will be in the church cemetery with his two sons and four brothers serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Knutson, Cody Knutson, Randy Zobeck, Bob Knutson, Donovan Knutson, Tom Geerts, Craig Ducker, Bill Schoba and Jeff Pacovsky. Friends may greet the family 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2012, at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the church. David Duane Knutson was born March 10, 1962, in Iowa City, IA, the son of Donald D. and Delores M. (Zobeck) Knutson. He received his education in New Hampton and participated in wrestling during grade school. On January 19, 1980, in Jerico, he married Jody Perkins. To this union two sons were born. The couple later divorced. He then was united in marriage to Debbie Brown. The couple later divorced. He and Sherry Morris had a son together. David had worked for many years in maintenance at Farm Fresh Dairy near Ponca City, OK, He later moved back to New Hampton and was a stainless-steel fabricator for Dames Construction traveling throughout the mid-west during his time at Dames. He was currently working in the maintenance department at Bay Valley Foods in New Hampton. David enjoyed playing in pool tournaments, golfing with his friends and liked arm wrestling and spending time fishing. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, Josh (Jennifer) Knutson of Charles City, Julian Knutson of New Hampton, Donovan Knutson of Indianoplis; three grandchildren, Justin, Jaycee and Jaclyn Knutson; his parents, Don and Delores Knutson of Jerico; four brothers, Danny (Wendy) Knutson of Arlington, TX, Denny (Jo) Knutson, Dale Knutson, Duke (Terri) Knutson, all of Jerico; one sister, Doreen (Tom) Franzen of Nashua; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Severt & Ida Knutson; Frank & Grace Zobeck.
