Born on April 13, 1957, in Charles City, Iowa, Dave was a cherished son, brother, and uncle who lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and a love for the simple pleasures.
Dave grew up in a lively household with his loving parents, James and Edith (Smith) Korinke, and was a protective and fun-loving sibling to Sandra, James, William, and Patrick. His childhood in Iowa was filled with fond memories and the foundational values of family and service that he carried with him throughout his life.
A proud graduate of Nashua High School, Dave's commitment to his country was evident early on as he embarked on a distinguished 18-year career in the US Navy. His expertise as an optical landing systems maintenance technician was crucial to naval operations, and his subsequent work as a closed-circuit tv tech for another nine years showcased his technical acumen and steadfast work ethic. Dave was respected by his colleagues for his professionalism and was known as someone who could always be relied upon.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dave was a man of many interests and talents. A sports enthusiast, he cheered with passion for his favorite teams, with a particular fondness for golf and the Washington Nationals. His love for music and photography reflected his artistic side, capturing the beauty of the world around him and the rhythms that moved him.
One of Dave's most endearing qualities was his love for animals, especially dogs. He was involved in animal rescue, and his three dogs were not just pets but members of his family. His compassionate spirit extended to all living creatures, and his efforts made a lasting impact on the lives he touched.
In the kitchen, Dave was a culinary artist, much like his beloved mother, Edith. His talent for cooking was a source of joy for him and a treat for those who had the privilege of tasting his dishes. Family gatherings were a highlight, as Dave and his two talented nieces would ensure that no one ever left hungry, and everyone left with a smile.
Dave's legacy is one of love, laughter, and generosity. His presence was a comfort and his laughter contagious. He lived his life fully, with a heart open to giving and a spirit that uplifted those around him. Those who knew Dave will remember him for his kind soul, his unwavering integrity, and the warmth of his company.
As we say goodbye to Dave, we celebrate a life well-lived and the countless memories he has left behind. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.

So sorry to hear of the passing of David, my condolences to his family.
I was in high school at Nashua the same time he was (class of 1975) he was maybe was in the class of 1976. I also recall his mother worked for the school in the kitchen.
Most of the times the school lunches were very good.
Please hold on to the good memories.
It was sad news hearing about Daves passing. We graduated together with the class of 1976 at Nashua. Dave, Doug Hahn and I played a lot of golf together, during our high school years, and we had fun doing so. Thinking of his family during this difficult time. Rest in peace Dave. Klel Harris
Doug and I are saddened by Dave’s passing. Dave and Doug were childhood friends and shared many adventures exploring Nashua, and just being good family friends. Dave and his Mother Edith would often take trips, or attend events, with Betty Hahn, Becky and Doug.
I enjoyed spending time with Dave after his return to Nashua. Dave was a kind man with a special fondness for rescue dogs, he had a true gentle heart.
Dave had a passion for cooking and loved nothing better then preparing a delicious meal for friends.
David left us all, much to soon.

So sorry about David. I found a scripture I like to share at JW.org, Acts 24:15, “there is going to be a resurrection,” I wish your family the very best for the future.
The foursome of you, Betty, David and Edith was a shining example of how to turn unbearable grief and loss, into a lesson on how to celebrate the lives of those lost by living yours to the fullest. You all showed the rest of us exactly how to do that. ❤️
Hugs. We are so sorry, and we all are feeling a great loss at Dave’s passing.
Please feel free to reach out to us, if we can help with anything.
I will remember my brother most, for his devotion to our Mother and love for his four legged children.
I am heartbroken by your neglect for your own well being. I understood you more than you knew, I loved you more than you could possibly have known, and I will miss you more than even I could know.
Rest well baby brother, rest in peace and happiness with Mom and Dad. 🥲💔❤️
I only knew Dave for a little less than two years. He was one of the kindest people that I have ever met. We shared many of the same passions, dogs, cooking, and photography. I’m so glad I got to know him. He will be missed.
I’m so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing! He was a very talented artist! And as soon as a song came on the radio he would shout out the name of the song and artist. Spent some time with he and his family who were all so nice. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.
Forever in our hearts. Thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends.. R.I.P
