During High School Daniel worked at B & D Foods in Nashua. From there he went on to work at the Schumacher Elevator Company in Denver, IA. Daniel also enjoyed working at St. Michaels Catholic Church. He cherished working on the farm with his dad, Lynn. Daniel enjoyed helping with chores and always giving a helping hand on the farm. Every fall you could find Daniel working in the fields, especially in the combine, his favorite machine to operate.
Daniel had a deep love and passion for Chuck Wagon Racing. Danny was the (Boss) of the Blue L Chuck Wagon Team owned and operated by his family. He contributed to every aspect of the team from tending to the horses to helping plan the strategy for the race. He also enjoyed spending time with his Boston Terrier Rosie. Daniel always looked forward to spending time with his Grandpa Dean.
Survivors include his parents, Lynn and Deanne Lantow of Nashua; one brother, Dean Lantow of Nashua; one sister, Megan (Dan) Miller of Waverly; maternal grandfather, Dean Lynch of Nashua; paternal grandmother, Elaine Lantow of Shell Rock; two nieces, Avery Lantow and Allison Miller.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Lantow (2008); paternal grandfather, Robert Lantow; and maternal grandmother, Virginia Lynch.
Danny and Billy-two courageous brothers who taught me humility and strength. Although we are not supposed to have favorites, I looked forward to seeing them at their visits. I watched them grow up and move on the care of my colleagues, but never forgot them. They are together again. May their family find comfort in that thought.
To All of Danny’s family and friends, I am so sad to hear of Danny’s passing. What a wonderful young man who always had such an increadible smile that couldn’t help but put a smile on everyone else’s face. His love of life and horses will be greatly missed. Rob & Suzzee Meusel
I am sorry to hear of your loss. I didn’t know Dan well but I do know he never complained of his circumstances, he was a positive and considerate person. I graduated with Bill and have fond memories of him as well. They are both healthy and happy in heaven looking down on your family. I just want you know your family is in my prayers during this difficult time. Sincerely, Kendra Etta
Dear Family, I am sorry to hear of Daniel’s death. He always handled all of his problems with such courage. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. This is one of the most difficult things we must face in our life. May it comfort you to know that others are deeply touched by your loss. God assures us at Psalms 34:18 that he is near to those broken in heart and those crushed in spirit he saves. Jesus also promises that we will be able to see our loved ones again. Jesus own words found at John 5:28,29 tells us there will be a resurrection. What a wonderful hope! God says that soon on the earth there will be no more pain, suffering and especially death at Revelation 21:3-5 We anxiously await the day when we will no longer lose those we love. May these bible thoughts bring you comfort at this most difficult time.
