Daniel Gardner age 68 of Elma, IA, died Sunday, July 19, 2026, at his home in Elma surrounded by family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Elma with Rev. Donald Hertges celebrating the Mass. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Elma, with Jerry Flaherty, Jeff Flaherty, Jon Flaherty, Rob Gardner, Scott Gardner, Matt Gardner, and Andy Gardner serving as pallbearers.

Friends are invited to greet the family from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Hugeback – Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in Elma, where there will be a 3:30 p.m. rosary service that is open to the public and scripture service following the visitation at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation continues one hour before the Mass at the church on Friday.
