Beverly L. Larson age 73 of Fredericksburg, Iowa died Monday, September 8, 2014, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Sumner. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Hillcrest Baptist and Brethren Church in Fredericksburg, with Pastor David Byrd officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Federicksburg, with Dustin Larson, Dillon Larson, Jordan Larson, Avery Sassmann, Nick Phillis and Jeremy Miller serving as pallbearers. Friends may greet the family 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Beverly Louise Larson was born January 25, 1941, in New London, Connecticut, the daughter of Richard and Sylvia (Wautrous) Staplins. She received her education in New London, CT. On May 23, 1959, in East Hampton, CT, she married Earl Oren Larson. The couple lived in Conneticut for a couple years and then moved to New Hampton, Iowa in 1963. In 1970 the family moved to Fredericksburg. Beverly worked at Sara Lee and New Hampton Newspaper. She also was a waitress at the former White House Restaurant in Fredericksburg. She especially enjoyed spending time and caring for her family. She loved bowling, BINGO, playing cards, camping and golfing. Survivors include her husband, Earl Larson of Fredericksburg; four sons, Robert Larson of Dodge City, KS, Michael (Deb) Larson of Fredericksburg, Eric (Jennifer) Larson of West Union and John Larson of Fredericksburg; sixteen grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jean Hinkel of Cresco, Brenda Otter, Susan Shields and Margaret Arnold, all of New London, CT. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

  2. To the families of Bev. The lst time I met Bev was in the New Hampton bowling alley. We all had some good times there years ago. As I married a guy from Fredericksburg I got to see her more often. She was a sweet loving lady,, love to talk to her. I always thought she was so pretty. She will be missed by many. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Our deepest sympathy to all.
