Beverly Ann McNally age 91 of Bellvue, IA, formerly of Fredericksburg, died Monday, July 31, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are with Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in Fredericksburg. 563-237-6212. Beverly was born March 11, 1932 in Chickasaw County to Walter and Vivian (Dawson) Schroeder and baptized by her great uncle (9-11-32) Reverend John Dawson. She married Joseph Eugene McNally of which three children were born; Jeffrey, Bradley, and Steven-confirmed United Church of Christ. They were later divorced. Beverly graduated from New Hampton High School and worked for social welfare, Waterloo; University of Iowa, Iowa City; Penn Elementary, North Liberty; State Farm, New Hampton; ConAgra, Fredericksburg. She enjoyed playing piano, riding Ragbrai for 14 years, gardening, flowers, playing cards and reading. Beverly is survived by her son, Bradley (Laurie); daughter-in-law, Tonya; daughter-in-law, Bonnie; six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister-in-law and sons Jeffrey and Steven. Beverly will be buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Iowa.

  7. I was so sorry to hear this. I worked with Bev at ConAgra as well as being a member at the same church with her. A very kind and thoughtful lady. She made the BEST strawberry and raspberry pies, and I think of her every time I make them using her recipe. After she moved away, I would occasionally send a letter/card and she’d always call to thank me! My sympathy to the family. Peggy Niemann
