My sincere sympathy to the entire Carr Family. I so enjoyed our visits when I would be visiting Kenningston Place. She always knew me and talked so highly of our family. She just made me feel very special. She sat by me a few times at lunch there when I was visiting others too. Such a warm and wonderful person. She will be missed. It isn’t often that you meet someone who just brightens your day as she did mine every time I talked to her. May she rest in peace.
Love to and prayers for every family member of Mrs Carr. (Did she have another name than Mrs Carr?) So many years of memories. For me: Crossing paths while working at the hospital; calling her house to get the ER Doc on call, Mom to my close friend. For you: how many more! She lives on in all of your memories and love .
I have so many fond memories of your mother from all the time I spent staying at your farm as a child and later when I worked in the hospital office with her for a couple of years after high school. She also was my dad’s grade school teacher. My condolences to all of Anna Mary’s children and an especially big hug to Mary Sharon.

To the Members of the Carr Family… I am deeply saddened to learn of Anna Mary’s passing… I shall always CHERISH her memory! We met many years ago (57) when Dr. Jim was my brother Michael’s ‘Big Brother’ in the Big Brother and Sister’s Program when my brothers and I were children; and living at St Mary’s Orphanage in Dubuque. Soon after meeting Jim we were so fortunate to be ‘adopted’ by Sr. Mary Assumpta Carr, she took us under her ‘Angel Wings’ and sent for us and gave us special birthday celebrations at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque… then fortunately for us; she took us to the Carr Family Home in New Hampton, where we spent many, many, vacations enjoying the Carr Family hospitality! This was such a wonderful respite for my brothers and I as children, I don’t know how we would have survived ‘our ordeal’ without them welcoming us into their family! I will always consider you as our ‘Adopted family’… I always kept in touch with Anna Mary, and I always looked forward to her Christmas letters, where she told of all the happenings in the Carr family… I will surely miss them… I know that Anna was so proud of her Family, and her love was so evident! Our many happy memories of Anna Mary will always bring smiles to our faces and thus take away our sadness at losing her beautiful light… when we do smile, it will be Anna Mary’s way of wiping away our tears…. What a beautiful legacy she has left us all with.. we are all truly blessed to have been part of her life! She passed away on my 68th birthday, and I will always consider her to be my new Birthday Angel… We met as Strangers; we left as Friends; Someday we shall meet again in Heaven; Where Friendship Never ends! God Bless each of you and know that Anna will always remain with us in Spirit! R.I.P. Dearest Friend!
Our sympathy and prayers to the entire family. Dave and Sandy Jaschen

Anna Mary cared deeply about family and I was amazed she remembered all four of my children’s names at her 100th birthday celebration. Ray still talks about a call he received from Anna Mary while he was at work at Canon. She needed help installing her new Canon printer. She was 92 at the time Anna Mary has truly been an inspiration for my sisters and myself. Carol (McKone) Moritz

How I always enjoyed her smile and kind words when I would meet up with her at the hospital. She made a person’s day with that smile. And she has passed that down to her family. Truly an angel in heaven for all of us.
Dear Carr Family, Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. If we could all live our lives as fully as Anna Mary did! She found and expressed sincere joy in every visit, every conversation. May God wrap His loving arms around each of you with His Amazing Grace. With our love, gratitude and deepest sympathy, The Crawford Family
