Alma worked at Lynches Grocery Store, Chautauqua Nursing Home for 18 years, and Casey’s General Store for 28 years.
Alma was devoted to the VFW. This appreciation for the VFW Mission came from her understanding of the sacrifices of her father, her sons, and others who served in the military. She especially enjoyed her trips to the Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
Alma enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crafting; and especially all things Christmas.
She was a loving, caring person. If she was your friend, she was always your friend.

Thank you for all the memories Grandma. Summers spent in Iowa with you and the cousins were always the highlight of my summer break. I’m so glad you were able to attend my wedding and meet Andi. I love you and will miss you so much.
