Xander Morris

Xander Michael Morris, infant son of Nicole Houser and Shane Morris, Charles City, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital -- St. Marys Campus in Rochester, MN. A private family service and burial will take place at a later date. Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton is entrusted with arrangements. Although his time on earth was short, he filled the hearts of his family with a lifetime of memories. Xander had a smile that could brighten the room and fill everyone's life with joy. He had just started laughing, smiling, babbling and holding his head up. He loved to pull at his daddy's beard and would smile mischievously. He was a snuggler and enjoyed cuddling and being held close by his parents and grandparents. Xander was a rainbow baby and now joins his brother Chandler, safe in God's home above, cradled in His arms, covered with His love. Left to cherish his memory are his parents; Nicole Houser and Shane Morris of Charles City; maternal grandparents, Donna and Rick Houser of New Hampton; paternal grandparents, Mitch Shipp of Iowa Falls and Glenda Samuelson of Medford, Wisconsin; maternal great-grandmother, Gertrude Houser of New Hampton. Xander was preceded in death by his brother, Chandler Morris on April 6, 2018; paternal grandparents, Duane and Geraldine Morris; maternal great-grandparents, Edwin and Elizabeth Brincks and Samuel Houser.
