Ilene J. Weikert age 92 of Fredericksburg, IA, died Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Tripoli Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, DECEMBER 29, 2025, at the Horton Baptist Church, Horton with Rev. Dave Peters presiding. Interment will be in the Horton Cemetery.
Friends may greet the family an hour prior to the service at the church.
Ilene was born, November 14, 1933, in Horton, IA, the daughter of Marvin and Grace (Shipp) Ihde. Ilene was third of ten children. She was raised in Horton, Iowa on a farm. Her home church was Horton Baptist. She met her husband, Jim Weikert, at youth group. They married March 8th, 1954 and had five children. When her youngest graduated, she changed jobs from being a homemaker to an over-the-road truck driver with Jim. They drove together for 16 years before they retired.
Survivors include one son, Dean (Linda) Weikert of Ackley, IA; four daughters, Vicki Weikert of Waterloo, Barb (Max) Mueller of Olathe, KS, Ann (Jim) Green of Lansing, MI, Carolyn (Brent) Johnson of Fredericksburg; twenty grandchildren; numerous grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Ihde of Plainfield, IA, Dennis (Diane) Ihde of Appleton, WI, Stuart Ihde of MN; sisters, Violet Graeser of Horton, Janet Hamacher of AZ, Cheryl Debower of Charles City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; grandson, Nehemiah; great granddaughter, Lyric; sisters, Shirley Morse, Jeri Johnston, Marlys McGaughey.





Prayers for you all.. Loved all our fun times in the Salon at the Willow. Loved her hair done and watching everyone else do’s.

Ilene was such a happy, fun and Godly woman. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
