  6. Florentine loved her family & God. I remember all the gatherings at her house for holidays and get-togethers. I especially loved her crockpot stuffing and her German potato salad. She was awesome at playing Scrabble, and solving the Wheel of Fortune puzzles. She babysat her granddaughters Tami and Julie a lot, and they watched many Lawrence Welk shows with her. I was proud to have her as my mother-in-law for many years. I am sure she is singing with the angels in heaven and is happy to be reunited with Leonard, Paul, her parents, and her other relatives and friends that have passed away. Rest in peace dear lady…I will never forget you. Love, Marj Troyna

The Bible makes this comforting promise: ‘Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted, he saves those who are crushed in spirit.’ (Psalm 34:18) It also assures us: ‘Throw your burden on Jehovah, and he will sustain you.’ (Psalm 55:22) May these thoughts bring you a measure of comfort at this difficult time.

  11. I will always admire Aunt Florentine for her unwavering love of God and the Catholic Church. Her Faith was always her rock no matter whatever happened in her life. She took her role as my Godmother seriously and always guided me with advice that was rooted in religion. I will remember her laugh which always made me laugh even harder. Her homemade bread will always remain on my hips. The dimes in my Birthday cards will remain on the cards and will always bring a smile to my face as I continue to re-read the enclosed letters about the weather in Iowa, her garden, Uncle Leonard and the farm and the life events of her growing Family. She loved her Family and that was what mattered most to this wonderful Woman. I will miss you Aunt Florentine, but you will be in my heart forever. Patricia
