Eleanor Hedwig Schwickerath age 81 of New Hampton, IA, died Saturday, May 24, 2025, at New Hampton Nursing and Rehab.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thurday, May 29, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Washington with Rev. James Goerend celebrating the Mass.
Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, North Washington with Casey Schwickerath, Devon Schwickerath, Beth Schwickerath, Carrie Schwickerath, Josh Holthaus, Jayson Holthaus, Jordan Holthaus, Austin Schwickerath, and Josie Schwickerath serving as pallbearers.
Friends may greet the family from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Hugeback – Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in New Hampton where there will be a 3:30p.m. Rosary Service and 7:00 p.m. parish scripture service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the mass on Thursday at the church.

Sorry to hear of Eleanor’s passing. Loved to see her and have conversations with her. Will miss seeing her at the Quilt Shop. Also to her whole family she’s at peace and is with Cletus.

I remember meeting her soon after I started volunteering at her daughter’s quilt shop. It was always nice visiting with her in the store or on a bus trip.
