Annette Peters, age 47, of Fredericksburg, IA, died Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Hugeback - Johnson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Rev. Ramona Christie officiating. Friends may greet the family 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Annette Renee Peters was born August 26, 1970, in Charles City, IA, the daughter of Larry and Colleen (Foster) Peters. She attended school in Fredericksburg and was a 1988 graduate of Fredericksburg High School. Annette moved to Hampton, MN, where she began working for the United States Postal Service as a rural route carrier for seven years. Annette started her own cleaning business, where she cleaned residential homes and commercial buildings. She then moved to Fredericksburg and began working for Whispering Willows until her health issues led to her retirement. Annette enjoyed cleaning, shopping, cooking, and country western music. She enjoyed keeping connected to friends through social media. Family was everything to Annette and she loved getting together for the holidays and spending as much time with them as possible. Her son, Jacob, was her pride and joy. Annette is survived by her son, Jacob (Morgan Berg) Jablonski of Medford, MN; mother, Colleen Anderson of Fredericksburg, IA; brother, Marty (Angie) Peters of New Hampton, IA; two sisters, Deanna (Wade) Hauser of New Hampton, IA and Elizabeth (Steve) Helgen of Fredericksburg, IA. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry in 1975; paternal and maternal grandparents.

  1. I have not seen Annette since high school, but she was always very friendly and fun to be around. I am so sorry to hear that cancer took her life at such a young age. May she rest in peace. My condolences to all her family. Lisa (Schoonover) Herold

    I remember we called her Squeak. I have no idea what that meant, but think it had something to do with her talking all the time. ❤️

    I am so sorry to hear Annette has passed. She was a friend. Annette was wonderful with my kids Tami and Hugo and saw them grow up from Littles to adults. She was a kind hearted and thoughtful person. My condolences to her family.

  9. Annette babysat for my kids and they loved her. I sort of lost track of her as she grew up and only learned recently of her battle. You are at peace and healthy now and live among the angels. You have your wings and will shine like a bright star in the sky for all of us to see. My deepest sympathy to her family.
