Beryl Sjobakken age 94 of New Hampton, IA, died Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the Patty Elwood Center in Cresco, IA.
A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Hugeback - Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory is entrusted with arrangements.
Beryl Marie Sjobakken was born on August 24, 1925, in rural Chickasaw County, IA, the daughter of Emil and Hazel (Sweet) Bartz. She was united in marriage to Arthur Sjobakken in 1941. To this union two children; Paul and Gayle were born. Arthur died in 2002.
Beryl lived her entire life in New Hampton and was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Beryl is survived by two children, Paul Sjobakken of New Hampton, IA; Gayle (Henry) Schnieder of Johnston, IA; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill and Ray Bartz; daughter-in-law, Sally Sjobakken.
