Lorrena E Bohr age 74 of Waucoma, IA, died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at her home. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, JULY 7, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waucoma with Rev Nick March officiating. The lector will be Terry Bohr. Presenting the offertory gifts will be Richard and Terry Bohr. Urnbearer for the Mass will be Collin Bohr. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Friends may greet the family 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, JULY 6, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waucoma. Further visitation continues an hour prior to the Mass, Tuesday at the church. Lorrena Elizabeth Bohr was born June 6, 1941, in rural Fayette County, Iowa, the daughter of Mike and Clara (Schmitt) Franzen. Lorrena was a graduate of St. Lucas High School. After school she was introduced to Mark Bohr and the couple was married August 16, 1960, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in St. Lucas. To this union one son, Richard was born. Lorrena stayed home with Richard when he was a young child, until he began schooling. She then started to work for Atwood - Dura in West Union. She worked for the company for over twenty years. Lorrena had a small side business of making cakes. She spent many hours baking cakes for weddings, anniversaries, graduation parties, and other events. Lorrena enjoyed flower gardening, reading, and puzzles. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Lorrena is survived by a son, Richard (Terry) Bohr of Rudd, IA; grandson, Collin Bohr of Rudd, IA; two brothers, LaVerne (Rosemary) Franzen of St. Lucas, IA, Florian (Pat) Franzen of Hawkeye, IA; three sisters, Marcy Blong of St. Lucas, IA, Edna Fay of Sumner, IA, and Clarene Humpal of Waucoma, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mark in 1964; granddaughter, Allyson Brannon; three brothers, Albert, Leo, and Duane Franzen; one sister, Laurie Leichtnam.
