Starline Raye Bilharz was born August 22, 1943, in Mason City, IA, the only child of Duane and Violet (Culbertson) Peckham. Starline grew-up in both Clear Lake and Des Moines and as a child enjoyed riding the school bus, going to movies with her cousins, roller-skating, fishing and camping. She went to grade school in Clear Lake and finished high school in Des Moines. Starline worked for several years as a housekeeper and waitress. On January 29, 1977, in Albert Lea, MN, she married Randall Bilharz. The couple enjoyed fishing and camping and in her free time she loved to paint, follow the Colts and spend time with her dog, Callie.
Starline is survived by her husband, Randall; three step-daughters, Christina Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO; Nicole (Ron) Levitre, Randett (Greg) Hodges, all of Denver, CO; eight step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren; six brothers-in-law, Richard (Sharon) Bilharz of Colestrip, MT; Ronald (Janet) Bilharz, Robert (Debbie) Bilharz, all of Nashua; James (Bonnie) Bilharz of Little Falls, MN, Jerald Bilharz, Dan (Patty) Bilharz, all of Nashua; two sisters-in-law, Joan Bilharz of Sulfur Springs, TX, Susan (Paul) Sedgewick of Charles City; Cindy (Troy) Maas and children of Fairbault, MN; many cousins and her beloved dog, Callie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cindy Sue Abbas, even though certain people did not recognize you as ‘Starline’s daughter and yur girls as her granddaughters, the family knows the truth!’ Yur Aunt Texy is ‘pissed’ about that one! She know’s Starline would be livid over that Obituary! Aunt Texy and Cuz Barbie Schrenk will definitely make their voice be heard in that prospect! We love you sweetheart! You were and always will be Starline’s adopted daughter and Allison Starline Moe and Kylie Marie Moe will always be her granddaughters! Period! xxoo
Tis truly sad and shallow that the Bilharz family found it necessary to leave you out as a daughter and Allison and Kylie as granddaughters. You are blood family, not by marriage family! You deserved better than that! Just saying, as Starline’s blood relatives! Some people just don’t use good judgement!
